Immersive Bible Storytelling: An Interactive AR-Based Learning using Embodied Conversational Agents
Augmented Reality (AR) offers a powerful approach to transform traditional education by creating immersive and interactive learning environments that integrate visual, audio, and real-time interaction. Combined with Embodied Conversational Agents (ECAs), AR can deliver adaptive, personalized learning experiences by enabling natural communication and fostering social presence, helping learners actively engage with complex content. However, developing AR-ECA systems presents significant technical challenges, including latency in processing and rendering, synchronization between speech and animation, and maintaining performance on mobile platforms. This study focuses on designing and evaluating an AR-based ECA application to demonstrate how advanced AR technologies can address these challenges, enhance user engagement, and improve learning outcomes.
